A well-known interior design firm will be one of several independent businesses taking part in a pop-up shop at a much-loved Norfolk estate this May.

From now until Friday, June 2, Kelling Home will be at Manor Farm Barns in Glandford, transforming a barn with colour and pattern to showcase its entire collection of British-made furniture, lighting, accessories and wallpaper.

Emma Deterding, founder of Kelling Home and its sister company, Kelling Designs, says the team is “thrilled” to be invited as a key tenant for the pop-up.

Manor Farm Barns, off Blakeney Road, is part of the Bayfield Hall Estate and is already home to Cley Smokehouse, Guy Allen Art, Bishop & Miller Auctions and Cley Spy, among others.

“Bayfield are innovative, forward-thinking and wanting to constantly increase their offering for the tenants at The Barns in Glandford,” says Emma.

“It’s a thriving and busy community with lots to eat and lots to do and see. When the stars align, it’s a great feeling and in this case the timings were perfect.”

Emma founded her business in 2006 after setting up a concierge service – looking after and letting out properties – for homeowners overseas.

She soon started to decorate properties as well and set up her own London-based interior design studio. Since then, she's added a retail arm – KD Loves – and set up a separate service for home-staging.

While the firm still has a presence in London, where it was founded, Emma has also opened her first showroom in Norfolk – in a 100ft barn close to her home in Field Dalling.
