A market town shop is closing after six years of thriving business to allow the owner to retire and "put her feet up".

Daisy & Co, which sells a mixture of homewares, clothing and accessories to loyal shoppers in Harleston, is closing its doors in July.

Sally Schefels, the shop owner, announced the closure on Facebook.

She said: "It's time for me to put my feet up and look forward to my forthcoming retirement.

Eastern Daily Press:

"It's been wonderful serving you all these past six years and thank you all for your support, loyalty and friendship during this time."

Despite the current economic climate which has seen many businesses close, Ms Schefels believes Harleston is managing to buck the trend.

She added: "We've got a great variety of independent shops here and there are loads of free parking spaces in the town for shoppers.

"People here are so supportive and I've had people coming into the shop to say their goodbyes."

The shop will close on Saturday, July 29, and is now up for lease.
