A Norfolk pub is gearing up for its grand reopening with its new owners dreaming of the premises becoming the "best gastro pub" in the land.
The Brooke Kings Head has been closed since March 2019 after it suddenly shut its doors before Mother's Day.
It is now owned by the Burton family, who bought the 18th-century building in Brooke, near Loddon in February 2020 and are "excited" to reopen its doors to punters after a three-year revamp.
Married couple Harry Burton, 28, and Jess Burton, 25, are tasked with the responsibility of day-to-day management of the pub, and with a team assembled, the pair are ready for the reopening.

Mr Burton said: “Since I have been a little boy I have always wanted to run my own bar and electric till, to have the opportunity to run this with my family is amazing.
"We have been working on this for three years and we are all totally committed to making this a success.
“We want to put the historic pub back on the map and make it the best gastropub there has ever been, this is our dream and we are very excited."

Mr Burton's parents, Peter and Karen Burton, own a nearby farm and have linked up with the pub.
They are offering a "farm to fork" menu of seasonal and locally sourced produce.
Their daughter-in-law said: “We are totally focussed on the quality and freshness of the food.
“We are trying to do something unique, with our farm to fork business model.
"The menu will be adaptable with the season to maximise freshness to create the best customer experience."

The owners say the building has been "sympathetically modernised" while keeping the "original charming features of the listed building".
They hope to be fully open for King Charles' coronation weekend.
To the rear, there is a brand new accommodation with six bedrooms each featuring a large en-suite bathroom and two rooms for hire upstairs in the pub.
There is also a function room available to rent and hire in the following months.
The pub and outbuildings have disabled access.
