Car enthusiasts have the opportunity to visit the home of Lotus founders Colin and Hazel Chapman for the first time.

The Chapman family are opening up their home for the Classic Team Lotus Garden Party on May 20 at East Carleton Manor.

Visitors can expect to see 40 Lotus cars on display and exhibits on show throughout the grand gardens, plus drinks and a sit-down lunch on the horseshoe lawn.

Anthony Colin Bruce Chapman CBE was an English design engineer, inventor, and founder of Lotus Cars in 1952 - before he died in December 1982.

His wife, Hazel, who passed away in December 2021, co-founded the business and was a successful racing driver.

Along with a long list of exhibits at the event, there will be an early years display of Lotus Mark I project, Mark II, Mark III, reunited with original de-siamesed engine, Mark VI and Mark VIII.

Additionally, there a first-ever broadcast of a 1963 interview with Colin Chapman will be shown and his biography will be launched.

There are 200 tickets available at £225 each.
