The road connecting two busy roads near Lenwade is closing for a fortnight.
Weston Hall Road is closing for asphalt to be added to the deteriorating road surface.
It will close on April 17 and is estimated to last for two weeks.
The roads closing are the B1535 Weston Hall Road from Norwich Road to Sandy Lane and Morton Lane, all of Lyng Easthaugh Road, and Sandy Lane between Lyng Easthaugh Road and Morton Lane.
They will be closing to through traffic with access remaining to homes and businesses.
Works will take place overnight, 7pm to 6am from Monday to Friday.
There will be three diversions in place - one via Dereham, one via Hases Lane and one via Honningham Road.
The county council has thanked people for their patience during the works.
The works, which will cost £359,000, is being carried out by the council's community and environmental services department and their contractors.
