The Labour opposition leader said he was not going to apologise for the attack ad that claimed Rishi Sunak does not think child sex abusers should go to prison.

During his visit to Great Yarmouth on Wednesday, Sir Keir Starmer said: "I'm not going to make any apologies for highlighting the fact that the government has broken our criminal justice system.
"I think wherever you go, people are really angry and frustrated that for 13 years, we've only had one way of doing things, and we've had a broken criminal justice system, a broken NHS and a broken economy.
"You can't just swap in a new prime minister and pretend that the slate has been wiped clean."
When asked about the opposition party’s widely criticised claim that he did not want child sex abusers to be jailed, the prime minister said he was "focused on delivering for the British people."
