Hingham Sports and Social Club in Watton Road, near Attleborough, will reopen on Saturday, April 15.

It has been renamed Abraham's Bar and Club House to tie in with the local links to the 16th president of the United States.

Jason Haden, one of the committee members at the venue, said: "A lot of people don't know we are here, but we want this to be a space for everyone and not just sports clubs.

"There has been lots of positivity around the refurbishment and we are planning a big launch event on May 1 from 1pm."

It will be completed in time for the Hingham 1940s Weekend on May 20 and 21 at the site.
