A group of youths have been banned from throwing eggs and being verbally abusive after a series of anti-social behaviour incidents.

Seven Acceptable Behaviour Contracts (ABCs) have been issued following reports and online concerns about the actions of youngsters in Long Stratton.

Following the complaints, officers have identified those involved and given them ABCs with a number of conditions to be kept to.

This includes not being verbally abusive, not throwing eggs or other objects that could cause injury or damage and not congregating with other under 18-year-olds in groups of more than three.

Police have said if these ABCs are breached it will lead to further "robust enforcement action".

The move follows an incident on March 28 in which a group of seven males aged 16 to 17 were reported causing issues and being antagonistic outside a shop in The Street.

Officers searched the area for the individuals involved but they were not located at that time.

In collaboration with Long Stratton Town Council, two youths also undertook a restorative justice session in which they removed graffiti from the skate park.
