A pub in Norfolk has scooped a major industry award for its food offerings.

The Jolly Sailors in Brancaster Staithe won 'Best Premium Food Offer' at The Publican Awards on Wednesday, March 29.

The pub said: "It is a huge reward for all the effort we put into nurturing relationships with local suppliers, driving sustainability through our business and training our teams to be the very best, ultimately creating delicious dishes for you from the wonderful mix of kitchens across our family business."

The Jolly Sailors stood out from their competition with their pizzas, including specials like the 'Jolly Taco' covered in smokehouse chilli venison, mozzarella, red onion, fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, crushed tacos and sour cream.

The Publican Awards, hosted by renowned stand-up comedian Dara Ó Briain, recognised a wide range of businesses for outstanding work in the face of challenging circumstances.

The award went to Anglian Country Inns, which owns pubs in Norfolk including the White Horse at Brancaster Staithe and Brancaster Brewery.
