A new Greggs is coming to Great Yarmouth after the chain announced this month that it would be expanding on a national scale.

The popular high-street bakery chain is expected to move into the former site of Barnados on Mill Lane in Bradwell.

A planning application for Greggs' famous blue, white and orange signage has been lodged with the Great Yarmouth Borough Council.

The chain already has 20 stores in Norfolk and over 1,800 across the UK, including Norfolk's biggest Greggs which opened this year in Norwich.

Greggs drive-through in Beccles is also in progress.

Another drive-through location is planned for Postwick on the outskirts of Norwich at the Broadland Gate Business Park.

Greggs plans to open around 150 new bakeries in 2023 as part of major plans to expand.
