From fine dining to street food, these rising star chefs are cooking up a storm in Norfolk restaurants and catering trailers.

1. Tiffany Long

Tiffany Long at the White Hart in Ashill, near Swaffham, was named the Young Pub Chef of the Year at the Great British Pub Awards 2022, aged just 24, after winning a MasterChef-style cook-off.

As the head chef of The White Hart, she shows strong leadership skills guiding the trainees and her dishes tick the boxes both in presentation and innovative flavours.

2. Ashley Williamson 

While you probably know Richard Bainbridge, the chef-owner of award-winning restaurant Benedicts in Norwich, Mr Williamson is one of the secrets to its success.

Ever since the fine dining spot opened in 2015, Mr Williamson has been his right-hand man, working his way up from sous chef to head chef.

3. Noy Grint 

Noy Grint, who is from Thailand, is the chef in the new street food trailer Pan Thai, which she runs with her husband Paul. 

They have been popping up at pubs around Norwich and Mrs Grint's authentic cuisine has proved very popular and led to the summer event bookings flooding in.

4. George Cobb

After working for many years in catering on TV and film sets, Mr Cobb set up his own company Hobb Boss Catering in 2022.

After successful supper clubs and roast dinner pop-ups in Norwich, he now has a kitchen residency at the Louis Marchesi pub in the city serving street-food style small plates.

5. George Randell 

Also championing street food, Mr Randell started Randy's Seafood inside a converted horsebox last year, supplied by his brother Henry who is a fisherman.

He previously worked at the Wiveton Bell and then Rocky Bottoms in West Runton, but the Covid pandemic made him realise he wanted to be his own boss.
