A Greater Anglia train has been removed from service after a bird smashed into its windscreen.
The train left Norwich at 2.01pm today (February 28) and was struck by a bird while travelling to London Liverpool Street.
The impact smashed the windscreen and the train had to terminate at Ipswich.
All passengers on the train were safely evacuated and transferred on to an alternate service.
The train has been taken out of operation so repairs can be carried out.
