A new monthly food, home and lifestyle market is coming to a north Norfolk village.
The Burnhams Market will be held in St Mary’s Westgate Church in the village's market square from April, hosting food, flowers and lifestyle products from local and independent businesses.
Hannah Bingley, of Freckles of Hannah, which sells products from food to homeware, has set up the event to fill a gap for a monthly market in the village.
Miss Bingley has lived in north Norfolk for 10 years, spending most of that time in Burnham Market, a village regularly named one of the best places to live in the country.
She said: "I didn't know anyone when I arrived and everyone was so welcoming, the community is fantastic.
"I love living here and shopping in the village with the traditional things like a butcher and a baker.
"The village has a heritage of having a market and I am passionate about bringing together a market of small businesses."
The 40-year-old wants to give local businesses without a shopfront the opportunity to trade in person.
She added: "My pleasure in shopping here is the personal contact and feeling the hustle and bustle of a traditional village.
"There is already a fantastic offering in the village and I want to complement what is already there, creating an interesting profile of small businesses."
The Burnhams Market currently has dates for April 15, May 20, June 17, July 15, August 12 and September 9.
The Georgian village situated between Wells-next-the-Sea and Brancaster was included in The Telegraph's roundup of the country's smartest villages.
The Telegraph said the village's "posh appeal" was down to its nickname, Chelsea-on-Sea, the boutiques and antique shops, and the fashionable hotel and restaurants.
Burnham Market also made it onto the list of the top 250 places to live in England in 2023.
