Old Buckenham Country Park will reopen with a new playground and menu, including Sunday roasts for people at their family campsite.

The new playground has been added to the south Norfolk country park, which is set over 30 acres in the Norfolk countryside.

The playground's grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, March 3 until Monday, March 5, with activities for children including face painting and wildlife talks by Alan Archer.

Owner Ben Devlin said: "We're really excited to add this element to the park, this will take us to the next level for family camping weekends.

"We hope to entertain kids while they camp at the park, we have 150 camping spots at our campsite and we hope to give that back to nature feel.

"It's a really nice element to add to the campsite and we feel like we've missed having this at the park."

The playground will feature swings, big towers with different activities and a large playing area, accommodating children from ages 3 to 14.

Among other changes to the park, there is a new chef onboard who has created a fresh and exciting menu, including Sunday roasts "with a twist".

Mr Devlin opened the country park in 2019 with a lakeside cafe, a camping and glamping site and a mile-long obstacle course.

This is the first event of the year for the park which has a wide range of exciting things planned including their annual hot air balloon festival which will be held later this summer.
