Drivers are being urged to take extra care on the region's roads this weekend with a weather warning in place.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for freezing fog in parts of Norfolk and Suffolk, including Norwich and Ipswich.

Eastern and northern parts of Norfolk and eastern parts of Suffolk will not be affected.

The warning is in place between 2am and 11am on Sunday, January 22 and freezing fog could lead to difficult driving conditions.

It could cause travel delays in some areas on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Untreated surfaces may also become slippery, leading to an increased chance of accidents or injuries.

Visibility could be as low as 50 to 100 metres in some parts of the country.

Norfolk County Council has said that gritters will be out this afternoon and in the early hours of tomorrow.
