A busy city centre road has been reopened after a heavy presence from the emergency services had closed it for around an hour.

Police had cordoned off a section of St Stephens Street shortly after 11am on Saturday morning and were working with fire and ambulance services, with a crowd gathering.

Eastern Daily Press:

The emergency service activity was focused on the multi-storey car park above Iceland, with a person seen on the roof.

Three fire engines, three police cars and one ambulance were on the scene but the incident was brought to an end shortly after midday.
