The fifth Norfolk spot has been named among the UK's best gastropubs.

The Brisley Bell, owned by Amelia Nicholson and Marcus Seaman, has been included in the Estrella-Damm list of the country's top 100 gastropubs.

It was one of five pubs in Norfolk to make the top 100, others being the White Horse in Brancaster Staithe, the Duck Inn in Stanhoe, and the Suffield Arms and the Gunton Arms in Gunton.

Miss Nicholson said: "We're delighted, it means a huge amount.

"Especially that six years since we opened, people are still interested.

"It means we're doing something right and still progressing.

"It's always a privilege to be recognised and it shows our consistency.

"That's hopefully what brings people back - a warm welcome, knowledgeable staff and quality food.

"We want the space to feel cozy and for people to have high expectations of us."

The Brisley Bell offers seasonal food over multiple menus with dishes including roasted pork belly, pan-fried calf's liver and grilled seabass.

It is open from 5pm to 10pm Monday and Tuesday from 11am to 11pm Wednesday to Saturday and until 10pm Sunday.
