A driver escaped unhurt after his car overturned in a crash - but police caught them driving without insurance.

Officers were called to the incident at about 8.30am on Friday (January 13).

A Toyota hatchback was travelling on Churchill Road in Wisbech when the car hit barriers in the centre of the road and ended up on its side.

While the driver escaped injury, it was "not his lucky day" according to Fenland Police, as following enquiries officers found they had no insurance for the car.

He was subsequently reported.
