Two Norfolk restaurants have swept the competition away after being named among the top 50 in the UK in the Harden Guide's 2023.

Morston Hall, near Blakeney, and Meadowsweet in Holt have been named in the latest edition, which was released this week and ranks the country's top 100 places to eat.

The restaurants, which are both Michelin-starred, made it into the top 50 on the list and were ranked 35 and 38 respectively.

Morston Hall, run by acclaimed chef Galton Blackiston, also featured in the list in 2019 and has since climbed five places.

Formerly of Morston Hall, chef Greg Anderson and general manager Rebecca Williams opened Meadowsweet with rooms in Holt in late 2021 in a grade II-listed building.

The restaurant won its first Michelin Star in February last year

The two Norfolk restaurants are placed above famous spots such as The Ritz in London and the Fat Duck in Berkshire.

The Harden's Best UK Restaurants 2023 guide, which is in its 32nd year, is based on surveys from 7,500 diners and 50,000 reviews on categories including food, ambience and service.
