Time is running out for local businesses to apply for government grants of up to £25,000.

The warning comes from New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), which is distributing the funding.

Business owners can apply for grants of between £1,000 to £25,000, which can be used towards investment in production, equipment, and expansion.

It is available to small firms in Norfolk and Suffolk.

Applications for the Small Grant Scheme closes on January 31, which will be considered by March 31.

“We’re inviting small to medium-sized businesses to contact New Anglia Growth Hub if they have a project in the pipeline to grow their company,” said Jason Middleton, from New Anglia LEP.

“We’ve had a huge variety of applications over the years and recent grants were for production equipment, an online platform, vans, industrial printer and office, dance studio and factory refurbishments."

He added: "This funding runs out soon so I would urge any company, including those which have benefitted from the scheme before, to apply today.”
