The Hairy Bikers have declared their love for Norfolk and its produce in a new episode of their BBC series.

For the latest episode of The Hairy Bikers Go Local, Dave Myers and Si King were in Norfolk, which they called the "perfect mix of breathtaking coastline and stunning countryside".

They remarked it was "the perfect place to ride" and that the county had a unique identity that could be felt in the people and places.

Myers and King, who said they had long been fans of Norfolk, were staying in a barn conversion in Spooner Row.

The episode focused on the Barsham Arms near Fakenham and owners Jake and Terri, who took over two years ago.

The Hairy Bikers had a mission of introducing them to the best local producers in an effort to keep the menu fresh.

To introduce Myers and King to his cooking style, Jake made a scone topped with fresh fruit and micro basil as well as char siu lamb with hedgerow ketchup.

First, the Bikers visited Chestnut Farm near Diss to meet Norfolk Goose owners the Hegarty family - Georgia, Eddie and their children Joe and Erin.

Myers and King learned about their focus on sustainability and how to herd geese.

They then travelled to Lenwade to meet Lucy and Rebecca from Tofurei, a company that makes tofu using soya grown in Norfolk.

The Bikers watched the beans be made into soya milk and then tofu and tried some of Tofurei's products.

They then visited Burnham Overy to celebrate Norfolk's fruit heritage at Leith House Orchards with owners Bruin and Max.

The Bikers explored the orchard, trying the site's 40 varieties of plums as well as the damsons and gages.

In an effort to encourage Jake and Terri to embrace the businesses, Myers and King made three dishes to showcase the produce they found.

They made seared Norfolk Goose breast over green peppercorn risotto, sweet and spicy sticky Tofurei tofu and four seasons summer pudding with Leith House Orchards fruit.

All three dishes were big hits with the couple who called their new discoveries "really exciting" and expressed how keen they were to meet the owners.
