The former chairman of the Royal Norfolk Show has been recognised with a special award in the New Year's honours.
A familiar figurehead of the show for more than 40 years, Sir Nicholas Bacon has been appointed Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (KCVO) in King Charles' first honours list.
Sir Nicholas, who lives on the Raveningham Estate in South Norfolk, was made president of show by the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association in 2007.
He was chairman for 11 years before standing down in 2019, which followed 30 years as a show steward.
He is also a former chairman of the governors of Easton College.
In 2005, he was appointed to the Prince's Council of the Duchy of Cornwall, where he worked closely with the King, then Prince of Wales, and also previously served as High Sheriff of Norfolk.
Meanwhile, also honoured with the Royal Victorian silver medal has been Jonathan Brown, farms tractor engineer on the Sandringham Estate.
