A £120,000 project to improve a pavement along part of a busy village road is due to get under way early next month.
Work is planned along a section of the A1151 Stalham Road, Hoveton, which will start on Tuesday, January 3 and is expected to last for seven weeks.
The project will involve the removal of the existing surface and then replacing it with a new level asphalt surface.
Any damaged kerbs and edgings will also be replaced.
The entrance from Stalham Road to St Peters Lane will be temporarily closed to vehicles while work takes place.
The works will extend from the junction with St Peters Lane and last for about 320m south.
A fully signed diversion route will be in place during the works.
Norfolk County Council has advised there could be some short delays to vehicle access while work takes place in front of driveways.
The project will be completed by the county council's Community and Environmental Services Department and its contractors.
