A Dereham couple have brought back their famous Christmas lights after a year away.

Dennis and Mandy Firmage, who live in Toftwood, are famed across the local area for their extravagant garden display.

Visiting the lights on Farm Way has become an annual pilgrimage for hundreds of people every year.

Sadly, they were unable to light up the neighbourhood last year while Mr Firmage recovered from major surgery.

But, much to the delight of the community, the lights are back up this year and will stay on until New Year's Day.

Mr and Mrs Firmage are once again raising money for the Norfolk & Norwich Hospitals Charity for the care and support of cancer patients.

"There has been a lot of interest and we are seeing the same sorts of people we've seen in years gone by," said Mr Firmage.

"We don't expect to do so well with the donations because it is tough at the moment, but people are coming round and putting what they can in the pot."
