Its runways are more used to seeing the RAF's F-35 Lightning stealth fighters.

But the roar of fast jets was replaced by the tinkle of sleigh bells as Father Christmas touched down at RAF Marham.

Children at the west Norfok base were treated to some festive cheer this month with a Santa’s Grotto set up in the RAF Marham Community Support Hub.

With help from his elves, Santa handed out selection boxes donated by the RAF Association to all the children that visited.

The charity Little Troopers has also donated Build a Bears, especially for children of those who are deployed this Christmas.
