The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for thick fog this morning after temperatures plummeted to -8.6C in Norfolk.
It warned of areas of freezing, dense fog which will affect parts of the county including Diss, Attleborough, Watton, Thetford, Downham Market and King's Lynn.
Drivers were being urged to take care on the roads while the warning is in place until 11 am this morning (December 11).
Last night was the coldest December night since 2010.
And this morning temperatures continued to fall, with -8.6C recorded in Marham, -7.3 at Houghton Hall and -7.1C in Tibenham.

In a Tweet, Meteorologist Dan Holley added: "Fairly extensive low cloud and freezing fog in many areas this morning, and it could linger all day in some places."
Earlier this week the UK Health and Security Agency and the Met Office also issued warnings for severe cold weather.
The cold snap is expected to last for several days into next week, with temperatures struggling to get above freezing, according to the Met Office.
