Meghan Markle has shared "amazing" memories of her very first Christmas spent at the Royal Family's Norfolk estate in her and Harry's new Netflix documentary.

It comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's tell-all six-part series, Harry & Meghan, was released on the steaming channel today (Thursday, December 8).

In the third episode Meghan "vividly" recalled Christmas at the Sandringham Estate back in 2017

She said: "Calling my mom, and she's like 'how's it going?'.

"And I said 'oh my gosh, it's amazing'.

"It's just like the big family I always wanted.

"And there was just this constant movement and energy and fun."

Meghan recalled having a "great" chat with Harry's grandfather the late Prince Phillip.

The Duchess added: "At dinner, I sat next to H's grandfather.

"And I just thought it was so wonderful.

"I talked about this, and talked about this."

In the episode, Meghan continued: "He (Harry) was like, 'you had his bad ear. He couldn't hear anything you were saying'.

"I was like 'oh. I thought it went really well."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix docuseries sparked controversy before it had even aired.

Details about the Royal Family and alleged racism and harassment from the British press are set to be revealed.

Episode one opened with words written in white on a black background which said: "This is a first-hand account of Harry & Meghan’s story, told with never before seen personal archive.

"All interviews were completed by August 2022.

"Members of the Royal Family declined to comment on the content within this series."

The release of the Netflix docuseries comes after Meghan and Harry alleged during the interview with Winfrey in March 2021 that a member of the family – not the Queen nor the Duke of Edinburgh – made a racist comment about their son, and claimed that the duchess had suicidal thoughts but her approaches to the monarchy for help were turned down.
