Nestlé has issued an urgent warning to customers after it was discovered a range of Aero hot chocolate products posed a choking risk.

The Food Standards Agency has alerted the public following the discovery.

The company said it has discovered food-grade silica beads in its range of Aero hot chocolate products, making them unsafe to eat.

The beads, while non-toxic, pose a risk to customers of choking.

In the warning, Nestlé said: "Nestlé set very high standards for the quality of its products and any packs affected by this clearly fall short of those standards."

Customers can return the products to the nearest store for a full refund.

A number of flavoured Mozart liqueurs, sold at supermarkets and off-licences, have been recalled due to the products posing a risk to people with an allergy to milk.

A packaging error has meant the allergen milk is not identified on the label.

Affected customers can return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Sainsbury's has warned customers to return a range of children's slippers after it was found they posed a choking hazard.

The All Season Camo Padded Slipper has been recalled as there is an ingestion and choking hazard if the toggle becomes loose.

Affected customers can return the product for a full refund.
