A popular independent bakery in Norwich is enjoying another slice of success with its latest opening.

Bread Source recently took on its sixth city site as the new operator at The Refectory Café in Norwich Cathedral, which was previously run by Jarrold.

It is open seven days a week, with more than 100 covers, and each day there is a range of sweet and savoury treats available on the bakery counter.

There are also hot and cold drinks, sourdough and a range of speciality loaves to take home, with a small hot food range launching next week.

The move into The Refectory means that Bread Source, which also has a shop in Aylsham, will be venturing into more evening events as well as outside catering.

Steve Winter, founder of Bread Source, said: "Looking up at the spire of Norwich Cathedral while tucking into a croissant and flat white is a real pinch-yourself moment.

"Watching families, business people, friends and small local clubs use this space to meet throughout the day is what we’re all about."
