They both have fair locks and a hangdog persona. Now, Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi is helping his near namesake dog to find a new home in Norfolk.
Lewis Capawldi, a Belgian Shepherd, is currently being cared for by the Dogs Trust, in Snetterton.
Staff there are trying to find him a new home, so put an appeal out on social media which was then shared by the star himself.
On Monday, November 28, Dogs Trust posted a photo of the animal on Twitter and wrote: "Our Lewis Capawldi may not have an asos fashion line or a new single coming out but he is VERY cute.
"Can you help us find him a home? @lewiscapaldi."
And later that evening, Capaldi singer shared the post to his Instagram story.
The artist is best known for songs including Someone You Loved, Before You Go and Forget Me.
He is also set to release his new single Pointless on December 2.
With Capaldi's help, the Dogs Trust hopes Capawldi will soon find a new home.

A Dogs Trust spokesperson said: "Lewis Capawldi is energetic and super smart.
"He is the most fun-loving boy to be around and he loves to show off his amazing zoomies.
"Lewis hasn't had the best start in life which has knocked his confidence around people, but it doesn't take more than a quick hello and he will soon bond over a game of fetch.
"Lewis is such an affectionate boy who likes to follow you around to see what you're up to and then will get as close to you as possible for a fuss.
"He absolutely loves playing with his toys and would happily play fetch all day long.
"He is such a lovely boy who will make a fun and rewarding companion.
"Lewis needs a home with adults or sensible children aged 16 years or older.
"He would love a garden with space for games.
"Our team at the centre will also help support you and Lewis with training plans and guidance, to make settling into his new home a smoother process.
"If you rent your property, please ensure you have written permission from your landlord before applying."
