A new farm shop sold out of produce on its opening weekend as shoppers queued to get in the car park.
Eves Hill Farm in Reepham launched its new on-site shop on Saturday, November 5, stocking a variety of local produce as well as its own meat and eggs.
Farmer Jeremy Buxton said the whole family are "loving it" and that they are already getting calls from other producers asking to be stocked.
"It's going really well, it's all so overwhelming," he said. "I made space for about five cars and all Saturday there were no less than 15. We had to make an overflow car park in a field.
"It's great to have that support from our community.
"We sold out of all our fresh food - veg, bread and dairy.
"And people were having a shop, then having one of our coffees and a cake."
Mr Buxton runs the farm with his wife Kathryn and parents Robert and Rita.
It has been in the family since the 1960s.
"It's so enjoyable because it's a real farm shop - a shop on a working farm," Mr Buxton said.
"We really just want to shorten the supply chain and reduce food miles - it's farm to fork.
"That's our intention - regenerative and sustainable farming for seasonal and local produce.
"For example, you'll never see an avocado or a clementine in our shop. We're not shipping stuff in.
"The most important thing for us is to speak to our customers and see what they want and need.
"We're going to constantly expand, we've already been contacted by other local producers asking if we want to stock them.
"It's really nice to have that support from the farming community."
The shop stocks produce from Norton's Dairy in Frettenham, Fresh Approach in Aylsham, Krusty Loaf in Fakenham, Crush Oil in Salle and Hodmedods in Beccles.
It also sells its own 100pc grass-fed beef, outdoor-reared pork and free-range eggs.
Mr Buxton is hoping to open a tea room on-site next spring to coincide with the start of the season for the camping and glamping at the farm.
Eves Hill Farm Shop in Norwich Road is open from 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Saturday.
