A Norfolk manor house will be one of several lots appearing in Brown&Co's property auctions throughout November and December.

The Old Manor House in Long Stratton is for sale at a guide price of £400,000-£450,000 and will go under the hammer on December 6-7.

Coming to the market for the first time in 70 years, the house is a sizeable, Grade II listed semi-detached property with three bedrooms, as well as an adjoining single storey building, several outhouses and a barn and land at the rear.

The outbuildings were associated with the family business, known as Cracknells Butchers of Long Stratton, and a small shop fronting onto The Street and currently let to a mobile phone business will also be included – although it will be vacant at the time of completion.

The Old Manor House is one of more than 30 lots coming under the virtual hammer in the two sales, the first of which takes place on November 22-23.

Two cottages within walking distance of the renowned Ingham Swan, as well as a city centre guesthouse, are all for sale at the two online auctions.

Wedgewood Guest House, on St Stephen’s Road, which has operated for around 20 years, is for sale in the November auction at a guide price of £395,000-£425,000.

Various renovation projects and homes in need of improvement are also for sale, and at affordable prices, which could be appealing to investors or those looking for a fixer upper.

Peter Hornor, chartered surveyor and auctioneer at Brown&Co, said: “We are delighted our auction service continues with, unusually, two forthcoming sales in November and December.

“We have so far seen outstanding results from our online auctions with a great deal of demand. Auctions are a way of maximising value and offer the beauty of transparency and a result on the day of the sale at the fall of the virtual hammer.”
