Veterans from an armed forces charity joined with primary school pupils to make Remembrance bird boxes for a town centre park.
Children from Greyfriars School in King's Lynn decorated the boxes, which were made at the Bridge For Heroes Activity Centre.
The centre, at Nelson House on the North Lynn Industrial Estate, has a fully-equipped carpentry workshop and was set up to enable veterans to engage in meaningful activities, including, art, photography and crafts.
Janet Moyle, deputy head of Greyfriars, said “We were only too willing to accept the Bridge For Heroes offer to allow our students to decorate the bird boxes with the poppies in this week when we remember our fallen. We now look forward to seeing them in use in the spring by our wild bird population”
The 10 boxes have now been installed on trees in The Walks, which is next to the school.
