Pub chain Greene King is the latest EDP Top100 firm to be attracted to Norwich's Broadland Business Park as it gets set to open a family-friendly Hungry Horse pub on the site.
Work has recently started on groundworks for the pub, which will include a restaurant and bar area providing some 200 covers as well as car parking for patrons, and will trade under the Hungry Horse brand.
Broadland Business Park has attracted a number of the region's major businesses, including Top100 firms Aviva, Bertram Books, and Bunn Fertiliser, as well RBS, NHS Norfolk, Start-rite Shoes, Lovewell Blake, KTIB, Evander, D & F McCarthy, and Menzies Distribution.
The move is part of a fresh expansion of the site which also sees work under way on an adjacent Costa Coffee drive-through outlet.
Greene King's Hungry Horse pub is due to open in early February, with the Costa outlet opening in late March. Both facilities will have a high-profile frontage on to Yarmouth Road and will add to the wide range of facilities the park offers.
A Greene King spokesman said: 'We are really excited about this new development. Broadland Business Park is a great location for a family pub and we can't wait to open next year.'
James Allen, senior partner at Roche Chartered Surveyors, agents for Broadland Business Park, said: 'The arrival of two high-profile brands underscores the attraction of the park and we are delighted that both Costa and Greene King will be opening here. In addition, inquiries for the high quality office space that Broadland Business Park offers have increased and a number of companies are now showing genuine interest in the suites we have available.'
He added: 'Being adjacent to the A47 Norwich by-pass and the main Yarmouth Road into Norwich city centre, there is a large volume of potential passing trade as well as a good concentration of people on the park and living nearby. Add to that the development of the Postwick Hub next to the park, which is now progressing, and Broadland Business Park has all the ingredients to become an ever more attractive location for businesses.'
