The large home crowd were hoping to see a repeat of the Woodbridge win over Southwold in the Suffolk Cup the previous weekend.
This was a different team from the development side that had narrowly lost the previous week however and apart from the odd spell of home pressure the visitors were always in control.
Southwold took the lead on 20 minutes after pushing Woodbridge back over the try line from a scrum for James Hall to touch down and Josh Wallis to convert.
On the half hour Callum Anthony broke away at pace, backed up by Wallis and Cemil Duruk. Some great interchanging of passes eventually saw Duruk cross the line for Wold's second and one of the team's best tries of the season.
Woodbridge kicked a penalty kick just after the break, prompting a spell of pressure, but Southwold held firm and late on replacement Patrick Stevens raced in for Wold's third and final try. Wallis again obliged with the two extra points.
