A man has been taken to hospital with serious head, neck and back injuries after crashing into metal railings in Shelfanger, near Diss.
Officers were called shortly after 9.30pm last night, Monday, October 23, to reports a cyclist riding along Wash Lane from Shelfanger, had collided with metal railings on the bridge at the junction with Heywood Road.
Emergency services attended the scene and the man was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital where he remains.
Police are appealing for witnesses and are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the collision or the manner of the cyclist prior to the incident.
