Retailers are being warned to be extra vigilant after a spate of reports were made to police regarding fake £20 notes.
Officers have advised people make use of crime prevention methods such as using UV light or a testing pen to indicate if a note is genuine.
A number of incidents were recorded around Harleston and Bungay where an individual used a fake Royal Bank of Scotland £20 to buy a drink, take his change and then left.
The offences were recorded on Saturday April 28 at The Bell in Wortwell at 4.30pm, Smoke Joe's Restaurant on Norwich Road in Ditchingham at 5.40pm and Momiji Japanese Restaurant in Harleston at 6.25pm.
Police have released CCTV images of the individuals and a vehicle they would like to trace in connection with the incidents.
PC Louise Hamilton-Rout said: 'It's concerning to hear of these fake notes being circulated and I would ask people to examine cash carefully.
'If someone tries to offer you any fake notes, or you know any information about those involved in the circulation of counterfeit money, please contact Op Solve via 101 or retailreports@norfolk.pnn.police.uk or you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.'
