Inquiries are ongoing as Norwich City look to establish the identity of a fan who allegedly racially abused a popular professional boxer.
Olympic bronze medallist Anthony Ogogo, who hails from Lowestoft, tweeted on Tuesday (October 24) night to say that he had been the victim of a racist slur after the Canaries' 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.
Mr Ogogo, a Norwich City fan, said he was sworn at and subjected to 'nasty' racial abuse from a fellow City supporter at the Emirates Stadium, as he cheered the players and was mistaken for an Arsenal fan.
Today, a Norwich City spokesman said that the middleweight fighter had spoken to the club about what happened after the final whistle, and confirmed that they are continuing to make inquiries in order to discover the alleged abuser's identity.
Mr Ogogo, however, acknowledged this was just an isolated incident among the 'amazing' travelling fans.
