More snow has fallen across Waveney overnight, causing the majority of schools to close and early morning disruption for drivers.
The 'Beast from the East' is continuing to hit the region, with more snowfall predicted today along with freezing temperatures.
The snow is causing disruption to public transport, with a Tweet from the First Bus Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft account saying: 'Services 1, 1A, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all suspended until further notice due to the increasingly bad weather. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.'
While Greater Anglia tweeted: 'Due to severe weather conditions we have disruption across the whole GA network. Please check before you travel.'
The lines affected include the Norwich to Lowestoft and Ipswich to Lowestoft routes. No bus replacement services are available.
There have been long delays on Yarmouth Road in Lowestoft, with traffic queueing from past Ormiston Denes Academy all the way to the Tesco store in Gunton.
Drivers also faced issues getting over the bridges in Haddiscoe and St Olaves this morning, with several people leaving their cars to push others as they struggled with the incline. The bridge at St Olaves has now been closed.
Suffolk Highways have tweeted: 'Due to the significant and continuing snow fall we will be gritting our Priority 2 routes today with snow ploughs. We plan to head out around midday across the county. The conditions are varying across the county currently. We're planning to plough and grit P2 routes in central and eastern areas where the conditions call for it. We'll continue to monitor forecasts for other areas and address these as appropriate.'
The James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston has tweeted to say that all eye clinic appointments at Beccles Hospital today (Wednesday) have been cancelled. It said: 'Apologies to our patients but all eye clinic appointments are cancelled at Beccles Hospital today.'
Sentinel Leisure Trust – which manages and operates a number of leisure sites on behalf of Waveney District Council, Suffolk County Council and Great Yarmouth Borough Council – posted on Wednesday morning: 'Due to local weather warnings and current conditions and that we prioritise customer and staff safety we have taken the decision to cancel all swimming lessons until further notice.
'All sites are open at present however this may change depending on staff availability and managers views on access/safety to their sites.'

Lowestoft Sixth Form College was due to hold a maths tournament today involving a number of students and schools, but this 'has been cancelled due to bad weather.'
Pakefield High School also sent a message to pupils and parents encouraging them to check the school's website later today (Wednesday) ahead of their scheduled performance this evening.
Across the border in the Beccles and Bungay area of Norfolk, schools closed include: Alburgh with Denton Primary School, Ditchingham Primary School, Earsham Primary School, Ellingham Primary School, Gillingham Primary Academy, Hobart High School in Loddon, Langley School, Loddon Infant and Nursery, Loddon Junior School, Thurlton Primary School Thurton Primary School and Woodton Primary School.
