A 44-year-old man who allegedly damaged seven cars after driving away from police has appeared in court accused of seven offences including attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.
Philip Pearce, of Kittell Close, Watton, was arrested on October 28 and has now been charged with affray, two counts of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm, two counts of criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon and dangerous driving following a series of incidents in Watton and Saham Toney.
He has been remanded in custody and made his first appearance at King's Lynn Magistrates' Court today (Thursday).
Police said the matter had also been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
