A re-match between a Norfolk greyhound and his two opponents will take place tonight (Friday) after their race last week ended with a surprising triple dead heat.

Droopys Djokovic, trained by Jim Daly from Summer Lane Kennels at Carbrooke, near Watton, was one of three dogs to take first place at Romford Stadium last Wednesday.

Officials spent 10 minutes studying a photograph from the finishing post to try to decide who had won, only to rule they had all taken 59.53s to run the 925m track.

The image showed all three dogs' noses perfectly lined up as they crossed the line.

On Friday January 28, two-and-a-half year old Droopys Djokovic, Ayamzagirl and Killishan Masai will take part in a re-match to determine the outright winner.

Organised by bookmakers Coral, the Bring It On Challenge will once again take place at the Romford Stadium over 925m - the equivalent of a marathon for greyhounds.

Following the attention that surrounded last week's race, the prize money has been increased with the three dogs set to win 3,000 between them.

The greyhound in first place will get 2,000 while second and third places will win 500 each.

Last week's race saw each dog win their owners 225 after the prize money was split evenly between them.
