Rapid progress, aided by good weather, has seen roadworks on the A149 between Cromer and North Walsham finish early.
The work, which started on Monday January 31 and was scheduled to continue until Friday February 11, involved the repair and resurfacing of three stretches of the road between Thorpe Market and North Walsham.
The major work in the 285,000 project has now been completed and the road reopened. Final works, such as restoring white lines, will be carried out under local traffic management without a road closure.
