The scheduled giant 'It' game at Chapelfield Gardens in Norwich in aid of Cancer Research UK was cancelled today.
Organiser Max Firman, 14, said the event at the city centre park did not go ahead because they had failed to get permission from the city council to stage it.
Nearly 700 people were expected to take part in the event which will now be rearranged for later in the year.
Last year more than 200 young people from across Norfolk descended on Chapelfield Gardens for a similar event. The city council was unavailable for comment.
