A MAN has died today following a road traffic collision, which happened in Lowestoft last month.
Police were called to the Katwijk Way area of town around 12.30pm on Friday, March 4 following the single vehicle collision where a green Vauxhall Astra left the road and hit a tree.
Ambulance and fire crews as well as police attended and the two occupants of the vehicle - an older man and an older woman - were both taken to the James Paget University Hospital at Gorleston but their condition was not thought to be serious.
'At the time it was thought the driver - a 65-year-old man - may have had a medical episode at the wheel,' a police spokesman said.
'However police had a call earlier today, Friday, April 8, reporting the man had died. As a result the incident has been passed to the Serious Collision Investigation Team and officers are asking anyone who may have seen the collision to come forward.'
