Three men have been handed police cautions after being caught red handed stealing bags of clothes that were destined for charity shops.
Police stopped a vehicle at about 5am on April 21 along the B1113 at New Buckenham and found several charity bags. The men, aged 21, 22 and 29, from the Great Yarmouth area, did not have a licence to collect the bags. They were arrested on suspicion of theft, but were let off with a caution.
Sgt Jon Papworth of the Attleborough Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: 'We hope this result goes some way to reassure local residents that officers are disrupting criminal activity in rural locations. All of the clothing bags that were recovered have been given back to the charity.'
