The defence case in the trial of Michael Tucker - accused of shooting his partner in the bath then hiding her body in the freezer - is expected to begin tomorrow (Friday).

Prosecutors completed their case yesterday by reading a series of facts, agreed by both sides, to the jury at Norwich Crown Court.

Tucker, 50, who ran the Compasses Inn at Snettisham, is alleged to have shot his partner Becky Thorpe in March last year, after she told him she was having an affair and he could not see his children from a previous relationship.

Tucker, who denies murder, is said to have later dumped her body in a freezer at the pub.

The jury are expected to retire to consider their verdict on Monday.
