The Bulgarian man accused of the brutal murder of a Norwich grandmother in Tenerife has been detained following a hearing held behind closed doors, it emerged last night.
Island judge Carmen Rosa del Pino remanded Deyan Valentinov Deyanov, 28, without the possibility of bail at her office in Arona late on Saturday night.
Jennifer Mills-Westley, who is originally from Hellesdon, was stabbed in a Chinese supermarket in the resort of Los Cristianos in Tenerife on Friday.
