Six fire engines spent more than an hour and a half tackling a fire in the roof of a bungalow this afternoon (Tuesday).
Crews were called to the home at Daffy Green, near Dereham, at about 1.45pm.
Two appliances from Dereham attended along with one from Watton, Hingham, Reepham and an aerial ladder platform and support appliance from Earlham, in Norwich.
Crews reported that the fire was out at 3.26pm but remained at the site damping down.
A fire service spokesman said the Red Cross fire emergency support unit had also been at the house.
It aims to help victims of a fire deal with the immediate aftermath of the incident and carries items like nappies and information including insurance company telephone numbers.
No-one was thought to be hurt in the fire.
