A host of charities and good causes have benefited from the proceeds from the annual Great Ellingham Teddy Bear Festival.
More than 100 teddies were on display in the village for the festival fortnight in July, which raised 5,000. And the teddy team distributed the funds from the eighth festival, which included 1,500 for East Anglia's Children's Hospices, 1,500 for the Great Ellingham Recreation Centre, and 1,000 for St James' Church in Great Ellingham. Smaller grants of between 400 and 50 were also handed to local Brownies, Scouts, under fives, and pre-school groups, the Methodist church and Friends of Great Ellingham Primary School.
