Suffolk's yearlong knife amnesty has arrived in Beccles for the next month.
Alongside the four secure bins situated outside Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Lowestoft and Mildenhall Police Stations, two red mobile amnesty bins are visiting other police stations across Suffolk.
During July one of the mobile bins was situated at Halesworth Police Station on Norwich Road, where sixty-eight sharp items and blades were deposited in the bin.
Throughout August the mobile bin will be in Beccles and is situated at the Police Station on London Road.
Anyone who has a knife or blade they wish to dispose of safely can deposit it in the bin anonymously during opening hours between 9am and 5pm daily.
At the end of the amnestly all of the deposited knives will be taken to Sackers Recycling in Great Blakenham, who will tip them into their metal shredder to be safely disposed of.
